ELITS Membership Portal

Streamlined the membership process for the Exemplary League of Information Technology Students (ELITS) at Bulacan State University — Sarmiento Campus, with a blog alongside — built while serving as the organization’s Vice-President.

The problem

As Vice-President of the Exemplary League of Information Technology Students (ELITS), I saw membership handled the manual way: paper sign-ups, lists passed between officers, and announcements scattered across group chats. There was no single place for students to join, and no reliable record of who was actually a member.

The solution

I built the organization a digital membership portal: an online sign-up and membership workflow, member records for officers, and a built-in blog for announcements and org content — one place the whole organization could point new members to, maintained by the officers themselves.

Key features

1 Digital membership process — online sign-up replacing paper lists
2 Member records managed by officers
3 Built-in blog for announcements and org content

What I learned

1 Dogfooding — building a product for the organization I led and using it myself
2 Scoping for a student org — a small, focused tool beats a big generic platform
3 Solo ownership — design, development, and deployment by one person

Tech stack

SvelteKit Tailwind CSS Supabase
